Chardham Yatra Itinerary by Helicopter (Ex-Dehradun)

Duration: 4 Nights / 5 Days

The Char Dham Yatra is a divine journey to the abodes of deities in the scenic high altitudes of Uttarakhand. It includes:

  • Yamunotri: Dedicated to Maa Yamuna.

  • Gangotri: Dedicated to Maa Ganga.

  • Kedarnath Ji: Dedicated to Lord Shiva.

  • Badrinath Ji: Dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

 

This sacred pilgrimage opens for only six months each year and traverses remote, breathtaking landscapes. Our team ensures that every aspect of this journey is meticulously planned, prioritizing your safety, comfort, and the warmth of a human touch through our dedicated services.

 

Our Package Inclusions

  • Exclusive Helicopter Services: From Dehradun (Sahastradhara Helipad) to the Char Dham shrines and back.

Itineraries

 

Day 1: Visit to Yamunotri Dham

The sacred Chardham Yatra begins in the morning with a flight from the Dehradun Sahastradhara Helipad to the Kharsali Helipad (Yamunotri Temple). The journey to the temple involves a 6 km trek, which can be covered by pony, palki, or on foot. This trek takes approximately 6 hours for darshan and returning to Kharsali. Post darshan, enjoy sightseeing and an overnight stay at Kharsali.

Program Summary

  • Flight: Dehradun to Kharsali Helipad.

  • Trek: 6 km each way from Kharsali Helipad to Yamunotri temple by pony or palki.

  • Overnight stay at Kharsali.

 

Day 2: Visit to Gangotri Dham

After breakfast, the group will fly from Kharsali Helipad to Harsil Helipad. From there, a 22 km scenic drive will lead to the Gangotri Temple. VIP darshan will be arranged for our guests, and Pandit Ji will be available for special pooja. The picturesque Harsil valley, surrounded by dense forests and lush green mountains, offers numerous photo opportunities. The evening will feature the Aarti at Gangotri Temple. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Dharali or Harsil.

  • Flight: Kharsali Helipad to Harsil Helipad.

  • Drive: Harsil to Gangotri Temple by car (22 km).

  • Evening Aarti and overnight stay at Dharali or Harsil.

 

Day 3: Visit to Kedarnath Ji

The day starts with a drive to the Harsil Helipad for a flight to Sersi Helipad, from where passengers will proceed to Kedarnath Helipad. The Kedarnath Temple is about 500 meters from the helipad, which takes roughly 15 minutes to reach. A VIP darshan will be arranged, accompanied by our representatives. After darshan and pooja, the group will return to Sersi Helipad. Lunch will be provided, and the day concludes with an overnight stay at Guptkashi near the Mandakini River.

 

Program Summary

  • Flight: Harsil Helipad to Sersi Helipad.

  • Kedarnath darshan with VIP arrangements.

  • Return to Sersi and overnight stay at Guptkashi.

 

Day 4: Visit to Badrinath Ji

The group will head to Sersi Helipad for a flight to Badrinath Helipad. Upon arrival, guests will check in to the hotel and have lunch. The afternoon will include sightseeing at Mana Village, India’s last border village near China. In the evening, guests can participate in the Swarna Aarti at the Badrinath Temple, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Badrinath.

 

Program Summary

  • Flight: Sersi Helipad to Badrinath Helipad.

  • Sightseeing: Mana Village in the afternoon.

  • Evening Swarna Aarti and overnight stay at Badrinath.

 

Day 5: Departure

After breakfast, the group will fly back to Dehradun, enjoying the breathtaking aerial views of the region’s confluences, including Vishnu Prayag, Nanda Prayag, Karna Prayag, Rudra Prayag, and Dev Prayag. These picturesque sights offer a perfect farewell to this divine journey. Guests will be dropped off at the Dehradun Helipad.

To ensure a seamless journey, please provide the following details:

  • Full Name of the Passengers

  • Date of Birth/Age and Gender

  • Contact Address

  • Identity Proof (Aadhar Card) – Mandatory as per government norms

  • Body Weight of each individual

 

Attractions

  • VIP Darshan at all Char Dhams

  • Complimentary duffle bag provided by Baluni Airways

 

Terms and Conditions

  • Each passenger is permitted to carry only one bag, with a maximum weight of 3-5 kg, on the helicopter.

  • Baluni Airways travel bags will be provided, so we advise limiting your luggage. If you have extra baggage, you may store it in the hotel cloakroom.

  • Children over 2 years old will require a full ticket.

  • Concession tickets for children or senior citizens are not available.

  • The full payment must be made at least 30 days prior to the scheduled journey.

  • If the Best Chardham Yatra by Helicopter 2025 is delayed due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the journey will be rescheduled for the next available day, or the unused portion of the travel (Rs. 20,000 per client) will be refunded.

  • If a customer requests a reschedule, the original booking will be canceled, and a new booking will be made subject to seat availability.

  • Cancellations are allowed at least 15 days before the scheduled departure.

  • If canceled within 20 days, 50% of the payment will be refunded.

  • If canceled within 15 days, 25% of the payment will be refunded.

  • Any additional services (e.g., food, beverages, etc.) requested by the customer will be at their expense.

  • Meals or services that are not fully utilized or partially used will not be refunded.

  • Pilgrims must adhere to the designated itinerary.

  • The company reserves the right to change the itinerary due to adverse weather conditions or other unexpected circumstances.

  • If an extended stay or travel occurs due to unforeseen reasons, the customer will be responsible for the additional tour costs.

  • The company will not be liable for any changes to the itinerary caused by natural events.

 

Guidelines for Passengers

  • Only handbags are allowed on the helicopter; suitcases cannot be carried. We recommend using the Baluni Airways travel bag.

  • As all temples in Chardham are situated in high-altitude areas, we advise pilgrims to carry a small oxygen bottle as a precaution. These are available at local medical shops.

  • Passengers must provide their accurate weight at the time of booking. Any discrepancies in weight that exceed the aircraft’s capacity may result in deboarding and cancellation of the helicopter tour, with no refund issued.

  • In compliance with COVID-19 regulations, all necessary measures from state and central governments must be followed for the safety and health of all passengers.

 

Fitness:

  • Pilgrims should be in good physical condition. We recommend light exercises like jogging in preparation for the journey.

Weather:

  • The temperature in these areas can drop to 10°C or lower at night, so it is advisable to bring woolen clothes.

Photography:

  • Still cameras and portable video cameras are allowed in the Himalayan ranges but not inside the temples. Please respect the temple’s no-photography policy.

Communication:

  • While most mobile networks have coverage, BSNL and Jio provide better service in most locations.
